CABINS, The 7th Architectural Visualization Challenge, was soft-launched yesterday with information to be shared during this week leading up to the Monday start day. As part of this, I’m sharing the making-of the CABINS concept art on the challenge site. I used good old pen & paper, SketchUp, Lumion, Megascans assets and Photoshop. Tav Shande is a technical artist with experience in the games industry working at EA, Crytek, & Activision on titles such as DeadSpace, Crysis 2, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, MW3, WWII & more. The Vipp Shelter UE4 VR environment is a spare time project Tav did try out new software and techniques. Inspired by the clean architectural and surrounding nature, this is the making of this project, sharing workflow, techniques, and thoughts that went into the creation of the scene. Enjoy!
Today I’m happy to share with you the Making of Best of Week 18/2017 – “The Oak Pass House” by Ján Morek. This one is unique, being an amazing recreation of the house and done fully in Blender, using blender tools, plugins, and scripts. Furniture aside, all was made by Ján, and so represents what one can do in the Blender ecosystem.
Making of a recently completed set of images for a private villa designed by mw|works. Situated in a breathtaking environment, this was a challenging but very exciting project to take on and here we describe our process with Cinema 4D and V-Ray as our main tools of the trade.
