Here are the finalists images
Congrats to all the finalists!
Really nice work!
Its a challenge in itself just to reach this stage, many of us had to bail-out for various reasons.
What a great competition. Good luck to all of you and keep up the excellent work. Can't wait for the next one.
Great competition. I did not participate, but I was lurking on forums every now and then and checking out the progress. Overall, the contestants were very good, and some of the renders are stunning.
So, when can we expect next competition?
Thank you Ronen for having thrown this competition. I did not have any time for playing with your wonderful model, but I see very interesting projects posted as final entries. There is already a lot to learn from each submission. Congratulations to all the contestants and good luck to all. Many of you have posted unbelievable images.
I didn't participate in the competition, but I can't understand why are there so many finalist? As of the images above, only 3-4 of them are worth showing, most of the others are at stage 1 - beginners, IMHO.
My personal favorite is: Anton Cherenko
Best of luck to all!
Finalists are those who actually submitted images for the judging stage. Only 5 awards will be given after the judging is done.
Ronen this was a great competition, and although I did not participate I was turned to it by a buddy of mine and have been following the entries for about a month. Congrats on the outcome, I think it is amazing to see these images from concept to final and I am sure everyone entering this competition has learn from the process as well as the work from other users. I was really surprised by some of the concepts and in general they all look great.
Vladislav Dechev (Mr. Authority) - Too bad you were not able to join this competition, judging by your confidence and harsh view of the entries, you would had won it- Next one chief! I do have to disagree with your assessment of the finalists, after all we are all beginners since no one really know everything about CG and every single image above contains strong points and I cannot think of any of them that should not be there, since none of them look like 'beginners' to me and they took their free time to be involved.
Good luck to everyone, and Happy Saint Patrick's Day
Vlad,
These are all great entries. Your comment regarding "only 3-4 worth showing" is ridiculous.
To all:
Nice work everyone and great competition Ronen. Not to slight the other renders, because they all have their strengths and weaknesses, but what in the world would the arch-viz world do without VRay? Wow!
