There’s lots coming from AXYZ this month (with more to come it seems). They released a beautiful new collection of 3D characters inspired by Le Corbusier´s Modulor. The 3rd chapter about the benefits of using 3d people is out and we are going to do a little image competition with you… so get on board!
Finally, here are the winners of the image submissions made during the Blog’s 6th Birthday. Congratulations to all winners and thanks to my great sponsors for taking part in this, offering great prizes for you. Next up to announce is the SOA Scholarship winner… aiming for next week!
Today, I’m very happy to launch “The Vineyard” Challenge in partnership with Epic Games and Nvidia as main sponsors, aimed at leading the architectural visualisation field into an exciting new chapter of realtime visualisation and interactivity exploration. Building on top of previous architectural visualisation challenges held on my blog, this time I’m calling upon challenges to join and let your creative minds run wild while using Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 to create your entries. You can join as a solo artist or a team. Great prizes are dedicated to both!
Congratulations to Maciej Kozlowski for winning the second stage of the August 2014 PETER GUTHRIE HDRi Skies giveaway! During the month of August I held that giveaway and the first winner was randomly selected from all who commented in the original PETER GUTHRIE HDRi Skies giveaway post. Maciej’s architectural subject and coastal location were blended very well with Peter’s 1044 Overcast HDRi Sky, resulting in a beautifully moody and compelling visual which awards him a complete set of 45 skies from Series No. 1! Big thanks to Peter Guthrie for sponsoring this giveaway and to all who took part in it… see you in the next one!
Congratulations to Alexander Nozadze for winning the second stage of the August 2014 DesignConnected giveaway! During the month of August I held that giveaway and the first winner was randomly selected from all who commented in the original DesignConnected giveaway post. Alexander’s frontal camera composition, focusing on Philippe Starck’s MYWORLD sofa for Cassina, might be simple but it works. That, and the emphasis made with well placed lights awards Alexander with 15 models of his choice. Big thanks to DesignConnected for sponsoring this giveaway and to all who took part in it… see you in the next one!
