Arab Peninsula Hotel

Great to post on the blog again, it’s been a while..the last few years have been a bit of a blur with a lot of work on the go. This particular project was highly confidential, but I finally have the go-ahead to share it online. Renders were completed in 2017, and it was an honor to work with the brilliant Designworkshop SA who, as always, have nailed the concept, and managed to integrate an entire hotel perfectly into the environment in which it sits.
Due to the nature of the project, all materials needed to be locally sourced, so the architects were very precise with the design, and in particular the visual representation of the woven screens used throughout the hotel. This posed quite a technical challenge, and for a relative beginner in railclone, this was my first real test.
Backgrounds are a mix of photography and 3D, and local ghaf trees were modeled using GrowFX. It was great to have the rare opportunity to work on a commissioned project that was so unusual, and always a pleasure to collaborate as part of a design team.

Black House On Nevezis River Slope

In created the work on a real project already built by the architect Laurynas Avyžius. Worked according to plans and references. The task was to practice doing similar projects in 3 different types of lighting and different atmospheres. This is not a complete photo copying, but an attempt to build an independent and thoughtful frame / lighting according to independently selected references. Also learn how to do post-processing of exteriors and enter people on Wednesday.

Museo De Sito Julio C. Tello

Red pigmented concrete provides the geometric forms of this archaeology museum in Peru, designed by Barclay & Crousse to replace another destroyed during an earthquake.

The Museo de Sitio Julio C Tello stands at the entrance to the Paracas National Reserve, on exactly the same site as its predecessor, which was ruined during an earthquake in 2007.

LOBBY BAR BCN

The project was developed for the ground floor of a hotel located in one of the Barcelona districts. The hotel area is surrounded by plants and has its own garden, which creates a cozy and tropical atmosphere.

The interior consists of modern and classical elements of furniture and decor made of very simple materials such as concrete, wood and various metals. Space is multifunctional as it provides either area for work or a relax.

So, there are no secrets here:

  • Quality HDRI
  • Tasty tone mapping
  • Custom LUTS
  • Shading

Interior style and accurate vision of the atmosphere, which is the most important aspect of any project in my opinion.
