Topographies by Zhiyao Chen

Experiments with FStorm Render engine.

What started as a simple test turned into environments creation using simple geometries with displacement maps. The series depicts alien topographical landscapes through an utopic vision of human as a multi-planetary species.

This modest attempt at concept art is hugely inspired by the amazing work of Erik Wernquist.

Competition Petershagen by Gregor Schuller

The competition of the Petershagen primary school took place in autumn 2016. The actual season was one of the reasons to go with autumn (always good for competitions).

One of the main ideas of the design, which we wanted to underline in the composition was the multifunctional foyer of the school. It was quiet difficult, because we had show the whole building in the picture, so it was in the background of the picture.

It was enhanced by the artificial light reflections on the ground and the shining through backlight of the morning sun. The scene is completed by the morning delivery situation. The strong complementary contrast is the color theme, completed by the grill with the yellow coat in the foreground.

Many Greetings, and thanks for reading,

Gregor

English House by Korneev Egor

This is my fist exterior project with FStorm Render.

Restrained, austere, dry architecture sometimes best tries on “orthogonal” man with his natural surroundings. No simulation or pretense, only straight lines and symmetry. Pure geometry in an honest alliance with the unique world of forms.

Meson’s kitchen M_26 Vela by Dominik Mateášik

This is a personal project from a year ago. It was my first ArchVIZ scene that I got to do from start to finish (not just modeling or some shading) where my goal was to apply some theories I knew about, but never applied in a real work (my attempt on “PBR” shading and so on).

As you can see I tried to recreate a photo by Meson’s kitchen company (don’t know the photographers or designers name though) although in the end I was lacking time and grew tired of looking for exact textures or trying to imitate light in exact manner so the result is obviously not 100% the same.
