I´ve been testing a new Megascans Bridge and Mixer a little bit. This is my first experimentation (one image) with a new Corona Caustics. Also, modelled a few Salvatori pieces, which I should prepare to share. Having fun all around!

This is my first completed render of a realistic interior.
In total, about 30h was spent on it over the course of 3 months. (not including render times)
20% of the time was spent gathering, organizing and preparing reference images.
40% of the time was spent modeling and framing the shot.
30% of the time was spent texturing and lighting.
10% of the time was spent compositing.
Included in the gallery is the render passes used.
Most of the passes were used as luma mattes for adjustment layers, as i used the beauty render for the background layer.
The built-in noise pass from octane was desaturated, then used as a guide pass to denoise the image.
Beauty render and passes rendered in 2h, but with optimizations it could be brought down to 30 minutes. (32 ray bounces might be a bit overkill)
Some shots from a personal project I’ve been working on for some time now. The purpose was to showcase a Haussmannian boulevard in Paris with all its characteristic features. One of these features was the luxurious second floor (“etage noble”) where the wealthier people lived and had the largest and best apartments.
All buildings in this project (apart from the Eiffel tower) were modeled from scratch in 3D Max with lots of help from Railclone and some 3D decoration elements from 3Dsky. The images were rendered in Corona.
It was a commissioned image for a client located in Aalborg / Jutland / Denmark. I love the architecture, because it’s a typical Scandinavian architecture. I really wanted to present the mood of a sunny day in Scandinavia, and I was paying attention to the foliage and vegetation. Since, there is a plenty of pine trees. Composition of image is framed with the natural framing with foliage as I usually try to create. This time I wanted to create all the assets as much as possible in 3D and I was using a Corona scatter tool. I liked it. It was very similar to Multiscatter 🙂 Aalborg Towers is one of my most favorite projects that I have even been working on. Pure pleasure. Thanks to the guys from Dimension Design Company in Denmark / Aalborg.
Greetings 🙂
