Jenga Villa

To represent the harmony of architecture and nature, the greenery covered house is visualized with stacking multilevel terrace, hence suggesting the home owner different views every morning.

Jenga Villa was done with Vray for 3DS Max, Multiscatter and post-production in Photoshop.

Orchard Jenga – Shifts of Light

Dance of Light is a series of images from Orchard Jenga project after finishing with the still hero render. Thanks to Corona Lightmix (The extremely powerful life-saver for 3D Archviz!) In this short video, I would like to convey the life cycle of the building from day to late night with its uniqueness characteristic, the transparent skin exposed not only its structure but the activities of the aquaculture farm inside during a 24 hours cycle.

The still image attached below is the moment of a night shift begins to start. When those very last sun rays pour on the facade while internally the aquaponic lights bright up. It is not blending itself with the context but proudly being vivid, stating the message of the city’s sustainable future.

Estrela Doce Bakery

This is my personal project based on the reference I found in archdaily.com. I tried to do detail modeling in SketchUp as much as I can and try to mimic the real photo of bakery shop with VRay for SketchUp.

Orchard Jenga

Image is part of the architecture studio submission in Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

To cope with urban heat island effect and lacking trees canopy coverage in cities cramped context, on top of the existing two-level car park, Orchard Jenga proposed to plant not only trees but editable vegetations vertically which cast healthy shadow for open public space underneath and produce organic fresh foods for the nearby Queen Victoria Market by applying the technology from adjacent University of Melbourne research centre. Covered by the transparent water tank, the unique facade allows semi visual connection from in and out by acoustically reflecting and refract the light when it passes through, standing out as an environment protect sign without a word.
