iCube R&D released a major update to my favorite scattering plugin for 3dsmax – MultiScatter. The new version now includes MultiPainter, a tool for scattering objects over any surface using a virtual paintbrush. This is a most welcome addition to this amazing and useful tool.

New video about Twinmotion 2 – The Rendering Killer! A soon to be released visualization solution that aims to make traditional rendering for architectural visualization obsolete. To help you all understand what it is all about prior to launch, the Twinmotion team made some teaser videos about the main aspects of the software. Here is the final video prior to release, and the most impressive one so far. They show real life places and their virtual counterparts rendered with Twinmotion 2. While mostly focusing on small areas and not showing the places at full all the time, it is very resembling and not looking like game engine output as previously mentioned. Enjoy.
2D/3D Hybrid rendering technique are really interesting, although I don’t have too many clients that prefer or ask for it, there are many things to learn that can transfer to a more photo-real inclined workflow. I previously posted about the ‘Digital Watercolor’ Technique by Scott Baumberger and now I share with you 8 videos done by Minneapolis based architectural visualization artist Les Chylinski. The following videos describe his personal hybrid workflow putting much weight on the use of Photoshop starting with a very basic 3d model rendering, done with SketchUP most of times. Enjoy.
