Making of House Roces

I’ve seen a lot of great 3d visuals being made with Cinema4D + VRayForC4D lately and this set by Mouton Burger is not an exception to that. Picking a great house design such as the Roces House by Govaert & Vanhoutte architectuurburo and doing that using ArchiCAD, Cinema4D and VRayForC4D – all of which I never used… Made it a prime subject for a blog article which Mouton was happy to take on and share a bit of his workflow with us all. Making of Neue Nationalgalerie at Night

A creative mind, critical eye and honed skills were on Christopher Malheiros’s menu when he dished out those visuals you see here. It seems he didn’t really do much… taken a bad-looking raw render, did a few steps in post and BAMMM! Well… sometimes Less is More! and how great it is being showcased with Mies’s Neue National Gallery as the subject matter. Great concept, great compositions, great coloring and very emotive quality to it. If done with Maxwell Render and on time… hmmm… Anyway, we can now enjoy this breakdown Christopher was kind enough to share with us.

Making of Aquarium of Canada

Continuing the exploration of NPR techniques of Architectural Visualization like Hybrid 2D/3D Digital Water Color Paintings, I bring you Scott Baumberger’s making of process of the main entrance to a large new aquarium in downtown Toronto, Canada. I’ve featured Scott’s work before in a roundup of several ‘Digital Watercolor’ breakdown videos he made that captivated my attention. Those, along with Les Chylinski’s 2D/3D Hybrid Workflow roundup and Jeremy Kay’s latest making of Urban Plaza and the feedback it got has led me to feature this article by Scott, a precursor of several more to come. 3D Cloth Modeling with Marvelous Designer

Back in January I featured Ramon Zancanaro’s ‘Second Floor, Block 1…’ work featuring amazing 3d fabrics utilizing an application named Marvelous Designer. Making of Cluttered Reading Corner

August started with Peter Drew featuring his Cluttered Reading Corner scene on the forums, wining The Best of the Week with that image. What started as a clean scene to showcase furniture, turned into an eclectic collection of objects within a dark moody corner of a room… and how nice it did!
