October is here and so is the State of Art Academy Day #4. A year sure went by fast, and I’m happy to take off to Venice and meet old and new ArchVIZ friends in this great gathering organised by Gianpiero & Roberto from SOA. Speakers this year include Bertrand Benoit, Vlado Koylazov (Chaosgroup), Nick Bently (Unifrom), Christopher Malheiros (Luxigon), Paul Roberts (iToo Software), Dario Lanza (Next Limit), Peter Jaworowski & Marcin Molskiand (Ars Thanea) and Peter Guthrie with a bonus lecture. It’s going to be fun!Read More Post a comment (0)

With recent news about SOA’s Academy Day #4 and the completion of MasterClass #6 I thought it will be nice to feature the great work of the students of class #6 and what they think and feel about their experience. I came to know SOA back in early 2010 seeing Roberto’s ‘Maison Hermes’ visual and since then I’ve been in constant contact with Gianpiero & Roberto and attended Academy Days #2 & #3 and loved every minute of it! Taking my online acquaintance with them to a personal level I can say (as we do In my family) they are True Mensch! I will not miss Academy Day #4 and hope to see you there too.Read More Post a comment (0)

I’ve tested Berlin based Laubwerk’s 3D Plants Kits for a while now, and it is a very interesting solution for populating your scenes with 3d Trees and Plants. A combination of smart content powered by a plugin from within 3ds Max & Cinema4D, supporting V-Ray, Mental Ray, Scanline and Advanced Render.Read More Post a comment (0)
