Black Friday to Cyber Monday

Each year, the day after Thanksgiving in the united states kick-starts the Christmas shopping season. This Friday is Black Friday. Doesn’t sound that good you might say… well, it is said the name originated from the heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic occurring on the day after Thanksgiving – coloring the streets black. Later an alternative explanation suggested that this day marked the transition to profit and thus starting to write numbers in the books with black ink instead of negative red. Which ever way it was – It is a chance for you to get good deals… And this is exactly what I will try to gather for you here!

Making of Container Dwelling

I’ve been following Roberto Valls work, and Rendertaxi, ever since I first picked up Maxwell Render in late 2005. Hovering in BF House / OAB + ADI

I love, love… LOVE, this hovering BF House designed by OAB + ADI. I’m a big fan of Carlos Ferrater work in any case, but this one is almost exactly what I had in mind for my Hover Challenge entry (which I did not finish, and had larger scale of venue to it) and it is built for real and looks amazing. I’m very fond of the courtyard housing typology and there is so much to learn from Joan Guillamat’s Photos taken here… The play of light outside and within the courtyard. The relation between the built house and the garden it floats on top of. The materials under the light… Enjoy this one!
