You can never have enough 3d trees & plants. Keeping your scenes greenies nice and fresh is important, so here’s a little heads up – April is almost up and you have 1-2 days left due to my previous heads up, demand was such Xfrog granted an extra full month to take advantage of the 50% discount on all Xfrog’s products. Carapicuiba House by SandroS

SandroS posted on the forums one of the best set of Thea Render images I’ve seen for some time now. They were made in a 3d personal recreation project of Carapicuiba House by Angelo Bucci & Alvaro Puntoni. The house was modeled in modo. All the foliage used in this scene is from the 130 Free XFrogPlants posted a few months back in the freebies section, and HDR image based lighting done mostly with the 10 Free HDRi Spherical Skies Maps by VizPeople.

2,700 XFrogPlants Now Individually Available!

XFrog Inc. the makers of XFrogPlants, made a big move and all the 3D plant tree and flower models found in their XfrogPlants libraries are now available as individual species! Now you can pick and choose the plants you need to fill out your 3D scenes. Each species includes between 3 and 9 models of the plant at different ages and sizes, essential for creating varied, natural-looking landscapes. XFrogPlants are great, just remember to turn off filtering on the opacity maps for faster renders.

Three to nine 3d plant models are included in each of the 30 species they provide (with all major formats included), and best of all, they are completely FREE! Download the plants, browse their documentation PDFs and try in your favorite software.
