Wadi Rum Desert Lodges Visuals by LUXIGON

Seeing new work by LUXIGON is always interesting, and their latest work for architect Chad Oppenheim truly amazed me. They produced a series of architectural visuals for the Wadi Rum Desert Lodges Resort in Jordan, an hour and a half outside of Petra. LUXIGON managed to inject a massive amount of emotive qualities into these images, aided greatly by the unique and isolated desert context. I’ve attached a PDF with information about the project and a set of images provided by LUXIGON.

Paraty House / Marcio Kogan

As previously stated, I love just about any project Marcio Kogan turns out and Paraty House is no exception… I even think that this house is his best so far. The combination of an amazing site, secluded inside a Brazilian island cove accessed by boat only, and great architectural interpretation of simple boxes, makes one of the more compelling houses I’ve seen to date.

Peter Guthrie’s Kilburn Vale Visualizations

I just have to share these amazing architecture visualizations by Peter Guthrie – Representing some of his best work. The design is by Gianni Botsford Architects and SketchUP was the modeling tool of choice. I use SketchUP 99% of the time for all modeling, and Peter strives to get most of it done inside SketchUP too, texturing too… the rest is good old 3dsmax & VRay. Remarkable design and visuals! enjoy.

Bauhaus at Dessau by Walter Gropius

The Bauhaus School at Dessau was the brainchild of German architect Walter Gropius. I love this style and building and Bertrand Benoit gave me a great excuse to post it here as inspiration following his 3d virtual version remake of it.

Casa Gatica / Felipe Assadi and Francisca Pulido

It is amazing how architects keep reusing the dual box on box basic idea and yet make something unique with style of its own. Gatica House by Felipe Assadi and Francisca Pulido is a great example for that. This set of photos is a great reference for materials such as grass, pebbles, dark stone, concrete & wood. Not sure I like the dark interiors so much but the site and dusk photos are great.
