The inspiration for this project comes from an existing design by Kolman and Boye architects. My goal is to create the scene with as much realism as possible without sacrificing real-time performance in VR. Here in Sardinia the most beautiful sea is far from the turistic villages. Out most beautiful beaches comes from the union of the hills and the sea and I wanted to build my cabin in this kind of piece of land. A place where you can feel the peace of the sea while you are still into the woods.
My idea is to create a modern approach for the traditional cabins in the woods. I used the triangle shaped roofs as my main concept and used a second volume to intersect it. My main materials will be wood, glass and metallic panels. What do you guys think?
This is my final entry. I decided not to add the ivy leaves as depicted in my concept art on the main building as I felt the greenery in the scene was enough composition wise.
All handpainted textures. No photo textures were used.

Long text test – Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
