Here’s a selection of images Jakub Gramczynski showcased on the forums that were made while working at Mellon Architekci architectural office. They both served as a design tool for checking if the project is heading the right way and as a marketing tool too in the promotional project website and print. Jakub also made several video recordings of his process to share with you all.
Arkin Adam Esref has made some remarkable storm renders and animation based on his CGW competition entry scene. I like his still images work on this one. Arkin has a style of his own that I like very much and it is nice to see some animated shots of his scene too. Take a look and tell us what you think of it.
Artists Heaven is a personal project by Johan Gustavsson and his first post on the forums. An impressive one! Purposed as a Photoshop Skill development project, the only 3D element in this scene is the actual building and stairs and Johan was kind enough the compile a short video of the postwork breakdown.
Tadao Ando’s Church of Light has had its share of 3d recreations. Elvin’s recent forum post is among the best recreations I’ve seen to date. His attention to the materials, camera placement and light shows great respect to the work of the master that Ando is.
Jamie’s ‘Artists Retreat’ render, that was based on the Shell house by ARTechnic architects, got him first place in the exterior category of Evermotion’s latest competition. He really managed to pull off a remarkable 3d recreation based on the original house and I especially like what he did with the little japanese zen rock garden! this is a must see and study. Lasse, from studio xoio, posted a gorgeous renders set of Casa Barragan that they made in-house. He showcases an impressive amount of viewpoints with a unique painterly look to them that really complements the design of the house and the spirit of Barragan in general. This is a must see and please add your opinion on this here or on the forums.
