A new and exciting challenge is about to begin! Tomorrow is back for the 4th time and looking for their next star.

The challenge of Tomorrow entry by 3dNinja

I’m currently continuing to set up the surrounding areas of my scene, but I needed a break, so I thought it would be fun to do a quick test rendering! So far I have five of the Hudson Park East buildings modeled and textured to mid-detail, and since I’ve decided to focus my images on the not-yet-built west side, these buildings will probably only get refined a little bit more. I’ve completely modeled the whole buildings from scratch using the provided massing as a guide. This test render serves me basically as a QA test of the models so far. I’ve noticed a couple issues that need to be resolved with them, but as a whole I’m pretty excited about how it’s coming along!

My submission will be made of 3 renders. Each one will be slightly different, but together they will create a nice story with an interesting atmosphere. I started by drawing sketches showing what types of compositions I’d like to make. Also, I would like to add some new interesting architecture, so I’m trying to make my own design of a few skyscrapers which I’d like to add to the scene. This is it for now, the next milestone will be creating quick drafts in 3d.

I have spent some amount of time to understand the architecture and how it will define the whole area in the future. In the coming years, this place is going to represent itself as a revolutionary public space which will be used for office, residential and commercial purpose.
The idea is to design the area keeping the future development and possibilities that helps create an atmosphere of binding the community together in a prime location.
The ideas will be further worked and hopefully, something will come out of it.

Good luck to all the participants.

The challenge of Tomorrow entry by Maciek Józefiak

Hey everyone, I am Maciej Józefiak and below, I will try to briefly present the concept I am working on and I hope to be able to finish it.

The concept I’m working on will be based primarily on a change in the way we communicate. I assume that over 20 years architecture will not change radically, but I imagine that the way of movement can evolve.
The concept is not yet fully developed, but it assumes architecture adapted to air communication using certain types of drones. Sooner or later, the adaptation of office and, above all, residential buildings to the possibility of parking with such means of transport may become common.
Maybe the vision that was contained in the movie “The Fifth Element” is not so distant and abstract.

I put the first sketch illustrating the idea itself but it is not a ready concept yet.
Good luck to all participants!
