CABINS / NotSupere : Cabin in the Woods

I am doing something quite different with my contest entry. The Main 3D modeling software used is well, Minecraft. I have been using Minecraft not just as a fun pass time – but to recreate actual architecture! This contest is a perfect opportunity to show that there is more to this game than meets the eye. The cabin is not to scale to a typical player. It is much larger so i could show the smaller details.

Tomorrow Challenge 2018 / ghu77777 : 2018 Tomorrow chalenge / jai hoon ko

First, I want to explain the atmosphere that I have noticed in this challenge. I recently found an interesting image on Mir’s homepage. The blue tone surrounds the whole image, but the image was a bit depressing, but the building was a warming image.
The direction of this image was blue of Mir.
Overall, the image was wrapped in a dark blue tone and the lighting in the building was designed to express the color temperature difference with a low color temperature and a warm feeling.
It added a mild fog and added variety to the lighting fixtures of the surrounding buildings.
It was my plan to create an outdoor cafe that would feel somewhat lonely but not depressing.
I consulted a lot of references and in the process I created the world that I wanted to show in my head and I used Photoshop to do a very rough and quick sketch.
The main purpose was to show a very attractive blue tone.
The material of the building was corned steel, and there was a lot of corrosion and some parts that did not, but neatly rearranging and expressing was better than the atmosphere I think.
I also wanted to naturally dissolve into people’s space.

Cobblestone street

After a few days of trial and error I finally could fix my sight, I chose to show the dialogue and the relationship between the historical environment and the new building through a camera placed on the north street of the institute, is one of the rare angles of view that presents the two new and historical contexts with more or less the same size, and moreover in a way that will allow me to focus onthe materials.the second step was to think on the animation of my scene, being an architect by training I remember the highlights of my years of study and I particularly remember school when we work with my friends over night to finish a job in time , so I choose an evening atmosphere for my scenne what This will help to work the interior lighting of the building, trying to show the atmosphere of a overnight work in an architecture school.the next step will be to work the materials based on reference images and to test to be as faithful as possible to reality, the only thing that I choose to reinterpret will be the street separating the two historical and new contexts and which is a strong element of my composition trying to mark the transition between the two architectures through the materials of the ground. Finally I would try to give a certain atmosphere to my scene, an atmosphere that reminds me of the night walks in the alleys of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona or in the historic streets of Firenze

Outside vs Inside

I started to read about the creators of the building, the architects, what was their idea and concept, and i remembered the time when i was still student in architecture, my professor was always insisting about the connexion between the exterior and the interior of any construction.

And because of my first impression about this one, about the empty space surrounding it, i started to do some research to find the best way to complement what was in my opinion missing.

How to make my idea fit in the project, i started by making the iglou like a spot for the student to gather in, talk, Meat, Eat, …

After that i made the green spaces for tree’s, arbust, ..some bench’s, Lampost’s and sconce’s ( from the library) in the final with all put together, i decided to go with night vue, i added some light’s and started to twick the settings for the final rendering.

I could do better than this one, time is sketchy, if I had to do something differently, it would be taking the time to manage my textures, lightning, and render settings, but I think I would keep the concept.
