model+model Released Vol. 06 / Books + The Bookmanager Script

model+model released a new volume of 3D Books that will make you want to start adding lots of bookshelves within your 3d scenes! And it is super easy using their brand new Bookmanager script. It will allow you to scatter this diverse collection of 670 different books in a snap. This will be volume number 6 from model+model, but you can get single models too on their website.

Vol.06 Books has more than 670 different books, magazines and comic books 3d models arranged in 24 sets. The book models are fully textured and are ready to use with 3dsmax VRay, Mental Ray & Scanline (They are also provided in .FBX & .OBJ formats).

Bookmanager

With the release of Vol. 06 / Books. model+model introduce the Bookmanager script… a tool for automatic scattering of books placement. It is written in MaxScript and has a wide range of features such as cloning, scaling, alignment, placing books vertically or at an angle, randomly or in a series.

This new tool makes the process of placing books super easy and manageable. You can also use your own made models with it… not just the Vol. 06 books. You can best see the functionality in the following preview video…

Supported Formats:

  • *.max Scanline – with textures and materials for 3ds max 2008 or higher.
  • *.max V-Ray – with textures and materials (in gamma 1.0/2.2) for 3ds max 2008 and V-ray 1.5 or higher.
  • *.fbx – with mapping without materials.
  • *.obj – with mapping without materials.

    I remember suggesting more covers for the first volume books, they did way better !! A must buy !!

    They are nice, but are a bit overpriced. When you can get so many great books from BB for quarter of their price.

    My position in this aside… so many books in this collection + the automation with the Bookmanager script is well worth it I think. I tested this before posting about it and it is such a joy to see them books automagically find there place 😉 I remember how Bertrand did them books in the GH House Challenge and Matt in the Manica Library and it is no walk in the park – no add modeling and texturing them too.
