CABINS entry by Arijanit Roci

02. For me to get the true inspiration needed is to live, breath and try cabin life.

In the spirit of this contest, I took my family and gear and went for a cabin trip in the woods of Sweden and ended up in a place called Lockhyttan. It was magical. The snow, the silence. I could take pictures for hours. Deep in the wood there was a tiny little cabin.

We started a fire, ate some food and had a cup of tea. This is Cabin life, in it’s simplest essence. I hope that my photo documentation give it justice.

01. Everything I do has to have a story. A story usually has a beginning, middle and end. Finding the right shapes and patterns is my beginning.

I find that the best way to create something timeless and something that works. It is to dissect the environment into simple shapes and patterns. Interesting things start to happen with the imagination when you look at the material and placement of the surrounding nature and reason why something should be where it is and thus find the best shape for the centrepiece. In this case the CABIN.
