Thanks so much for running this competition. We’re a small team of architects, viz artists, and developers in Los Angeles who became interested in Unreal Engine in order to create architectural visualizations for the Oculus Rift. For the competition wanted to keep the design and the scope small and simple, so that we could devote as much time as possible to create a polished visualization with a lot of attention to detail. Through the process we learned a lot about UE4. While there are still limitations that makes it more difficult to use for architectural viz than traditional packages, overall it was a great engine to work with. Combined with the Oculus Rift, UE4 has the potential to change the way architects, designers and clients interact with their un-built spaces. I know we’ve only scratched the surface of what UE4 can do and I look forward to getting deeper into the engine and learning more.
