CABINS / Mario Mendieta : Cabin Challenge/ Loneliness

For us this a milestone, which speaks to the evolution of our design concept. After undergoing many iterations to assess different visual perspectives, as well as various lighting styles/configurations, we came to the one that spoke to us. It is an vivid representation of our creative expression, for it is a combination of the fiery intensity of the sun, the spellbinding reflection of the water and the vividness of the greenery. This is all framed against the backdrop of the spartan minimalism of outdoor living.

CABINS / sololander : Texture and Lighting Trials

I did some lighting trials with different conditions to know how each materials look and feel in the scene.The texture is not finalized yet as you can see from the renders.I have tried to play with different maps for the trees (winter leaves etc.) to know the mood each creates.

Was having some issues with the mapping and population of grass and it seems to float around but all i good now after i gave a quick disk space cleanup and restart.Hopefully i should be able to fix the model and populating issues soon and churn out the renders 🙂

CABINS / Ekolo : Modern Hut Update III

I’ve spent my lunch breaks over the last 2 weeks modifying the idea and direction of what I was trying to achieve here. I’ll break down progress so far;
Started off with a rough mountain scape with an open side. I really wanted a lake/river flowing through the image to reflect the huts. All these started off with planes that were pushed and pulled as desired.
Created two clusters of huts and created cameras to capture the environment and the huts. After this was achieved, I started scattering the assets from Megascans and populated the scene based on the views.
I’ve not really ever used Corona Render for a full project on my own before so I thought it’ll be a great challenge to use it for this project. Mood for the render was definitely going to be a sunset, end of day vibe.
Materials and textures I haven’t delved deep into (which I will soon) but lighting and geometry is pretty much close to being there! Just thought to update progress so far. Easter Bank Holiday is upon us, I’ll resume next week with hope to finish the scene by that weekend.
