CABINS / jeddbrendo : MTB Cabins

On mountain bike trails there are usually boardwalk sections. These are a lot of fun to ride on, and essential for the Mountain bike trails I am placing in my scene.

This is a perfect opportunity to use RailClone from iToo Software. It is an amazing plugin, very powerful. Even though I find it difficult to understand & manage this kind of modeling, I really wanted to push myself and try to get some basic parametric models going!

Played with the 2 different array generators. The Railclone style in the screenshot is made up of multiple generators.
The circular berm is 2d array.
The raised boards & supports are 1d arrays. The raised boards follow a spline but the deform in the Z axis with a low-poly surface that is non-renderable. That way I can easily give them twists etc.

At the moment I have 2 splines doing the work but and it gets pretty rough beneath the planks, with the support beams not touching them or intersecting badly. I hope to tidy that a bit and maybe have it all run by the 1 spline.
The planks themselves are just one box that is randomly being transformed & in scale & rotation. The uneven spaces between each plank are achieved by having a dummy segment that is randomly scaled and placed along the spline.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks.

CABINS / Sicladix : Into the Woods

the main idea is to create a cabin that will integrate with its natural environment and that will interact with him by the choice of materials and architecture, the chosen composition will be divided into three parts, the foreground that will be of dense vegetation , the second shots will consist of the cabin and trees and the background of mountain and lake, these three plans will be structured by a forest track that will link them and add depth to image. I have not yet chosen the cabin model may be that I will move towards a reinterpretation of an existing project, more on his soon.

CABINS / Damian Machnik : Fisherman’s house

The idea is to create a small cabin for a person who likes to go out of town to spend their free time at the seaside indulging in their favorite activities. The cabin has two zones from which you can admire the nature – a small glazed bay window or patio that you can open to the world and arrange a barbecue with friends or lie under a blanket and admire the raging storm. The cabin will be placed on a dune between the sea and the forest to become a kind of a man’s link with the surrounding nature.

CABINS / MAL : Blue Vertigo

The idea is to suspend a panoramic cabin on a high cliff overlooking the sea ( Blue Vertigo ). At this Stage i don’t know yet if it will be a single unit ( refuge ) or a patchwork of cabins ( kind of eco-resort ). As an interior designer, i don’t want to create a cabin from scratch, i prefer to modify an existing one (recycling will be a must), so i’m thinking to use ship containers !!! For the location , what about Aegean islands ? At this point , i’m still hesitating for the tools… 3dsMax/Corona or UE4 ? As no animation is needed, I will have a better quality using 3DMax but i like the simplicity and the fun of UE4 landscape editor. Voila !! sorry for my English and let’s try to do that.
