i started by drawing and rougly composite refs directly into something that would work and set potential storys. A moment of the day in a particular and unusual place, to later work on the realism of it, to provoque a strange sensation, let peoples feel that this could be real.
Great opportunity to study photography techniques, know new tools and better understand how the digital magic happen!
A correct scatter at this stage, i think it will make a huge difference in quality and rendering times. I have to get to a good balance between what it will be texture (normal bumps) and a 3d model. Adding general textures help me to picture how it will look and where to add more details in the model.
I just wanted to share a few more renderings. This time a bit of trivia because I just couldn’t resist to put in the Raoul Marks’ astronaut. : )
