This entry is just some initial sketches (inspired by Ronen’s entry and the Fauves artist movement), some photos from my inspiration walk along the beach and some precedents from research online.
I’ve been really getting into that overcast rainy mood that January brings to the South coast of England and it’s really starting to influence my concept.
The concept behind the cabins thus far is to create a typical English seaside getaway on a cabin which sits out in the water along a completely sheltered strip of beach, surrounded by the chalky British cliff face.
This project will be the first one that I use 3ds max for. I’ll be using this project in order to learn 3DS to a suitable industry standard.
I always liked the idea of a house that gives you the freedom to chose the environment , rotate according to the sun and be near or far away from neighbors. What best solution than a boat cabin? As location I picked the beautiful scenery of Sweden’s lakes.
The main idea is to create a cabin close to nature, even too close. It will be surrounded and minimally interfere with it and over time, through a natural way to connect with it into one entity. More comming soon.
this inspiration of a wooden cabin in a place only to be able to admire the vegetation
… a cabin…. where is it situated? what is the purpose? when is the best time to visit it?
… believe one can find great spot for such cabins in each country around the world, or maybe come up with a concept of a planet where to situate them. No matter the location the reason for heading to any cabin would be to explore, to be fascinated by nature, to be alone, or with friends, to find inspiration, to enjoy the weather at its best, to enjoy the freedom… These preliminary sketches aim to show a direction to be explored… the end point is unknown but the guides are there. Do not know if would manage to reach it, but certainly will enjoy the route. Hope You will enjoy this adventure as well!
