CABINS / HERMUNM : Re_Charge

I started with a mood board to get a rough idea of colours, composition, landscape and general lighting. The location at the moment is the tea farms of Malaysia’s Cameron highland. The end goal is to create a VR experience of a warm morning sunrise whilst showcasing the views of the cabins.

CABINS / Rynhardtb : Tropical Haven

My aim for this project is to create environment in which a self sustaining cabin can act as a place of refuge from the “structured” Concrete Jungle known as civilization. The environment that I aim to capture is a small cove on the outskirts of a tropical jungle. Time of day is set to be a sunny 10’o clock movie that calls for a quick morning surf and fruit-bowl breakfast straight after.

CABINS / jeddbrendo : MTB Cabins

On mountain bike trails there are usually boardwalk sections. These are a lot of fun to ride on, and essential for the Mountain bike trails I am placing in my scene.

This is a perfect opportunity to use RailClone from iToo Software. It is an amazing plugin, very powerful. Even though I find it difficult to understand & manage this kind of modeling, I really wanted to push myself and try to get some basic parametric models going!

Played with the 2 different array generators. The Railclone style in the screenshot is made up of multiple generators.
The circular berm is 2d array.
The raised boards & supports are 1d arrays. The raised boards follow a spline but the deform in the Z axis with a low-poly surface that is non-renderable. That way I can easily give them twists etc.

At the moment I have 2 splines doing the work but and it gets pretty rough beneath the planks, with the support beams not touching them or intersecting badly. I hope to tidy that a bit and maybe have it all run by the 1 spline.
The planks themselves are just one box that is randomly being transformed & in scale & rotation. The uneven spaces between each plank are achieved by having a dummy segment that is randomly scaled and placed along the spline.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks.

CABINS / Sicladix : Into the Woods

the main idea is to create a cabin that will integrate with its natural environment and that will interact with him by the choice of materials and architecture, the chosen composition will be divided into three parts, the foreground that will be of dense vegetation , the second shots will consist of the cabin and trees and the background of mountain and lake, these three plans will be structured by a forest track that will link them and add depth to image. I have not yet chosen the cabin model may be that I will move towards a reinterpretation of an existing project, more on his soon.
