I love grasslands that go on to the horizon. My cabin is situated smack bang in the middle of one, surrounded by nothing but the open air and more grass. Inspired by the architecture of Fearon Hay. The idea is to find a harmony between place and architecture. Placing a strong importance on how the building interacts with the landscape around it.
I’ve finally made it past my concept design! There was a lot of backtracking but i’m finally happy with the overarching concept and bulk of the modelling. From this point on it’s all about the detailed modelling, materials and atmosphere of the shots. I’d love to hear your feedback, more sketchy views coming soon.
I’ve made a modeling part of house, add trees, and set scene with some trees and simple Fstorm lightning
Tried to make a cabin using modern materials like concrete and stone roof.
the modeling I started with photos, based on proportions, never on measurements because the info of the project does not bring them, as I was giving the geometry, I am not far from the photos, and the generated context I liked, maybe I would even change it details but it looks good.
