Christmas story. Final

So I post the final images one of the last. 1 hour before the end of the contest, I still render an image of one of the interiors. But I’m sure I will have time!

I looked at the work of all participants. A lot of interesting work! I am glad that I take part and can compare my work. I especially liked the work of two participants.

As for my work:
I did everything for the first time in corona render. Before that, I did not have to work with her. Using vray I think I could do everything faster. But I am glad that by participating in the competition I received additional experience.

I was lucky, I had a clear picture of this project. I knew exactly what I needed to do. So I think I did it pretty quickly.

My great critic is my wife Yana. I thank her very much for her patience and good advice. She’s great!

I am glad that I found time for this project. Of course I had to lose sleep for some time)))

Thank you so much for the opportunity! Good luck to all!

In the course of time

We live in a temporary world, everything is threatened to change and be replaced. As humans, we are in need of stability which is why we keep looking for a place that will remain.
I believe that the Stockholm Public Library is one exemple of these places that shall remain. A landmark that will be ultimately recognized by the observer no matter how many years have passed.
In this image I capture this building in a far away future, where the whole surrounding have been replaced by high uncharacteristic skyscrapers. Although the library appears to have been renovated in an effort to merge it with the nearby style, its uniqueness is obvious.
On a cold winter morning, people run along the frozen river, on their way to the library, seeking shelther from the upcoming storm.Their eyes only seek the library and their souls seek the books inside. Those books are timeless, they are the key of the building’s immortality. There is no time for books, as they are a concrete representation of time passed. Therefore, there is no time for a library, it is everlasting. It is a place that remains.

Absence and Presence

Hello everyone 🙂
In my opinion, The absence of light in the city makes the enlighted library present as a point to invite people ! so i used to dark style and warm lighting.
First off , I used a single material to implement my desired custom lighting. Secondly, with taking a look at the reference photos, I came to realize that I should use dark spaces to make the competition subject ( Library ) dray attention with its lighting.
Moreover, In the interior space, I tried to use the contrast of light and shadow to have a soley dark or bright space.
One of the challenges that I face during the course of this process was the texuring and shadering of the library’s interior wall. I unwrapping !
Additionally, In 2nd render it was difficult for me to place the camera since the lawn was covering the lense, However I managed to get desired frame.
Finally , Thanks for the great opportunity you give to 3d artists to get noticed.
