I’ve created a futuristic looking room and gave every person a VR set.
so we can see virtual people in a simulated room enjoying a sub-virtual world together.
I started out by blocking the scene and finalized the camera. Then the entire scene was populated and modeled based on that view. The characters were placed in the scene every now and then to check how the entire scene is highlighting them. The entire scene was created from scratch for this competition. Am attaching some of the WIP series below. All the very best to all the contestants, see you all on the other side. 😉
I wanted to create a mall “celebration and happening” image.
I took some references of the Golden Mall in Rishon Le’tzion and recreated the mall within 3D Studio MAX.
My next step was to experiments with different viewing angles. Than checking some different situations – I found my favorite view and tried it in a few scenarios. One of them is music show at night and another one was at a food festival in the middle.
Finally I decided to go with a
I thought it could be good idea to use people with nature …so anima’s good quality characters helped me to make the scene more realistic…

All buildings and streets modeled from scratch, from photographs I took there.
I have decided to make the dawn scene, because, for me, it is the most interesting time of the day in Amsterdam, when everything is becoming more lively, more colorful, more crowded.
A very Crowded Skybar in a highrise building in the Netherlands. I already finished a version of this image earlier, but completely redid the lighting setup and placed a lot more AXYZ characters with the help of the anima plugin.
