In 2018, my mother departed for heaven.
She took with her the laughter of our vacations in Ouistreham, the scent of the sea spray, and that reassuring silhouette of the lighthouse standing against the Normandy sky.
To me, that lighthouse was never just a monument;
it was her presence—a timeless landmark in the mist.
The world kept turning, and architecture continued to evolve, but my grief transformed into light.
For this project, I did not want to build a cold, sterile structure, but rather a sentinel of memory.
I used the Ouistreham Lighthouse as my anchor, the root that still binds us together.
But I have let it evolve. It has become this grand celestial ring—a floating city of light that draws its energy from the ocean to project it toward the stars.
It is a lighthouse that no longer merely warns of danger, but welcomes, protects, and guides an entire civilization.
Within the grain of the image, between the amber sky and the mirror of the water, lies a dialogue between the past and the future.
This project is my way of telling her that her light, like that of this ring, will never fade.
It has simply changed scale to become universal.

A.D. 2029
The appearance of the Yānwù (Smog) that devoured the earth in 2027 transformed our lives forever…
This thick fog of pollution marked the end of the energy crisis of 2023 in a dramatic way. This cataclysm caused such an upheaval (disease, stock market crash, etc…) that the UNO signed for the first time an international decree which forbade all use of energy consuming technology in means of transport, industrialization etc…
The only exception was in the natural energy production plants created by recycling abandoned factories like the blast furnaces in the north of France. In only 3 years, Iceland became the richest country in the world thanks to its natural energy production.
And the first drifts are starting to appear…
Indeed, the rich people not wanting to submit to these drastic restrictions found the loophole to this decree and started to build luxury residences next to the energy production plants in order to enjoy luxury as they want. Síðasta útlegð Resort, located in a volcano in Island was this first project…

For this work.
I imagine an hotel on abandonned marble quarries in grasses landscape.
For this architecture, I create a volume who remember the marble block and aspect of old stone.
The 3D model and render was made in Lightwave.

Enjoy…
