December 19, 2020 / in 3dsmax, Photoshop, V-Ray / by Jean Paul El HachemHello guys,
We are glad to share with you one of our latest visualizations projects.
The apartment is small, so we focused on taking close up shots; working on colours, simple lighting effect and composition.
Cheers!

December 19, 2020 / in 3dsmax, Photoshop, V-Ray / by Jean Paul El HachemBeirut, a narrative artwork:
“Between the sullen days of clouds and dust, and the stormy nights of rain and darkness, stretching across the east, all the way to the west, a soaring monument stands tall.
The tower of bitterness rests unfinished; its construction interrupted by the war. Yet, it still stands as a reminder of the horrors and cruelty the nation has overcome.
In spite of it all, the day has finally come to bring the tower back from the dead.
On that day, the sunset didn’t look like anything else. Out of nowhere, fireflies filled the streets, emerging from the city trees, and stormed into the monument. Hijacking the interior spaces, the tower somehow became a beacon of light, a lantern in the middle of the darkness.
The tower was my obsession, so I hastened to the scene to inspect this marvel”

Despite the cold feel of the materials’ concrete and light stone, we tried to capture a warm feeling through the plant’s selection, working on colours, composition and the general mood of the visuals.

December 19, 2020 / in 3dsmax, V-Ray / by Jean Paul El HachemThe Visuals illustrates our competition entry for a Chapel in Ruwanda, Africa.
Within the dense forest of conifers, a lonely narrow gap reveals a tiny section of blue sky, at the very limit of the hilltop.
There, in that forgotten space sits the new chapel, looking towards the rising sun of the east, and facing only the unique landscape.
The chapel illustrates a protected space, a sanctuary of nature, sacred, enchanted with trees, plants and ivies.

Chasing "Dreams"
Jean Paul El Hachem
December 19, 2020 / in 3dsmax, V-Ray / by Jean Paul El HachemThe project was part of international competition. An innovative, versatile, all-around Canopy housing office spaces, exhibition grounds, landscapes etc.
Eventually, we tried to introduce storytelling visuals in our final layout.
Chasing “Dreams” was part of the final content, it represents the human eye view placed between the old architecture to the right and the new intervention to the left. Observing the visual, you can guess why it is entitled as mentioned previously and why Dreams is between two brackets.

December 19, 2020 / in 3dsmax, After Effects, Forest Pack, Photoshop, RailClone, V-Ray, ZBrush / by Jean Paul El HachemCOMING BACK TO LIFE IS AN ARCHITECTURE MOVIE, A CINEMATIC NARRATIVE LOADED WITH EMOTIONAL CONTENT AND DRAMATIC SCENERIES.
IT IS AN ATTEMPT TO PRODUCE NEW UNDERSTANDINGS OF WHAT IS AN ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT. IT IS A SIMPLE IDEA REPRESENTED THROUGH A STORYLINE, A PLOT AND A TWIST, BASICALLY A MODERN DAY FAIRY TALE.
THE MOVIE REVOLVES AROUND AN ARCHITECT’S OBSESSION WITH BURJ EL MURR, THE TOWER OF BITTERNESS, A SOARING MONUMENT AND AN OLD LEGACY OF WAR, IN THE HEART OF BEIRUT.
THE FIRST SCENE PORTRAYS OUR MYSTERY MAN ENTERING HIS GLOOMY APARTMENT FACING HIS ARCHITECTURAL FASCINATION, TO BE SURPRISED BY AN EMERGING STRUCTURE SUSPENDED ON THE WALLS OF THE TOWER. SUDDENLY THE DISBELIEF IS INTERRUPTED BY A NOISE THAT APPEARS TO COME OUT OF THE TV, AND THE FRAME BLACKOUTS OUT WHEN IT GETS CLOSER TO THE WINDOW. DIRECTLY WE ARE TRANSPORTED INSIDE AN OPENING OF THE BURJ EL MURR, TO ASCEND THE BODY OF THE CONCRETE BRUTE, PASSING THROUGH THE VOID, THE GREEN SPACE, THE MEMORIAL AND THE RECEPTION AREA. WE ARE THEN DRIVEN OUTSIDE, TO DISCOVER A MONUMENT, ELEVATED FROM THE GROUND. OUR ARCHITECT’S CAR ARRIVES TO THE SCENE WHILE THE STRUCTURE IS COMPLETING ITS GROWTH. FINALLY THE STORY ENDS ON A SHOT OF THE TOWER IN ITS NEW SKIN, STANDING TALL IN THE MIDST OF ALL THE DISTURBING CHAOS OF THE CAPITAL.
