This is the image I made for Fabio Palvelli’s 5th render challenge “the thing” – I’t’s an homage to the extraordinary Vamsi Krishna Vemuri who made the 3D Model of the sculpture along with other amazing works.
I decided to recreate the room of the Temple of Dendur at the MET Museum in New York City in 3D, I’ve been there a couple of years ago and it really struck me with its beauty –
what a better place to have an exhibition of Vamsi’s work? Enjoy 🙂
I am trying to improve the story telling behind the images I produce, so the approach of this one in particular was to focus the attention on a special moment; the encounter of the characters in this particular scenario and not the cabin itself. I also liked the challenge of making an image with a winter theme in which I would face technical challenges to make some details that would force me to work on some new skills. Even if I was not one hundred percent satisfied with the result, I learned a lot and am working my way towards being a 3D artist.
A visualisation depicting the calmness and serenity of those warm summer evenings. What better way to spend it than at a peaceful and secluded house in the woods.
The main idea was to recreate a very atmospheric mood with a filmic touch using as a scenario a living and a kitchen
This is my primary school’s rendered images. Done with 3ds Max & Corona Renderer.
Basic textures downloaded from textures.com & poliigon.com, then i recreated textures with the help of Photoshop. For roofing i used Unwrap UVW. Trees & Plants from Maxtree also used iToo Forest Pack for scattering.
