State of Art Academy / Master Class #15

State of Art Academy MasterClass #15 just finished and here I feature the great work of the students. This time the main theme was my cup of ‘concrete’ tea! an interesting staggered cubes house by Spanish architect Daniel Isern called Mediterrani 32, Sant Pol de Mar. It’s great seeing 12 versions of the same house, as each student had the freedom to explore how and where to visualize it.

Making of KBC House

Stelios Zenieris, from MORFO Architectural Visualization studio, posted the KBC house visuals on the forums back in February this year. The frame of the uniquely shaped house ‘bathing’ in trees captured me and I wanted to learn more about this project and what went on behind the scenes. Cubes

This is drop dead gorgeous! Dutch artists Lernert and Sander were asked by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant to make a photograph for their documentary photography special, with the theme Food. They transformed unprocessed food into perfect cubes of 2,5 x 2,5 x 2,5 cm. 98 gorgeous cubes I’d like to see severed in restaurants near me soon! The perfect 3dish.

Skatter / A Scattering extension for SketchUp

A new scattering extension for SketchUp is coming soon – Skatter. There is only a video showing what is an alpha preview of what seems to be a very capable scattering plugin… kind of Forest Pack inside SketchUp with render engine instancing / proxy support (so it seems with Thea Render being used on the preview). Pretty cool and I look forward to see more and have a go at it!
