I love the look & feel they went for on this one, being an actual client work, and not the usual treatment one would expect… this image offers both warmth and cold feelings with a very smart placement of the women overlooking the sea from her exterior deck.

The Magical Touch / TreeSketch 2.0

Apple’s iPad launch was one of those moments you knew things were about to change… profoundly. Not everyone had the same sentiment back then, but look where we are now. With TreeSketch 2.0, by Steven Longay from Algorithmic Botany I see this change entering our field, and I hope to see more of these touch implementations for 3d content creation & exploration. Forest Pack Pro 3.7.1 Beta Released

I’m normally don’t get so worked up about a beta release, but iToo Software has been very busy adding features and fine tuning Forest Pack Pro and it shows in the new 3.7.1b release. The introduction of multiple areas, real-time feedback, painting and better spline & overall control make it even stronger landscaping solution then ever before (and you can do much more than just landscaping with it as you know).

Making of Taliesin Mod.Fab

Architectural visualization artist Matt Guetta shares his process of making Taliesin Mod.Fab – A project designed and built by students of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Matt was motivated in exploring Taliesin Mod.Fab as a personal 3d project, being fascinated by the well designed and sustainable project made by students, focusing mostly on lighting and materials. He also took the liberty to create a different environment for the house then the Arizona desert it was originally situated in.

Lumion 2011 Competition Winners

The results of the 2011 Lumion Competition were announced today, an boy what amazing things can be done with this tool! It really makes me rethink the way I work today, and I have a lot to learn about it (and look forward too). I think the movie that came out in third place is the best among them all… maybe it’s the strong architectural design that fits my taste so precisely.
