Making of WINTERHILL

Best of Week 24/2016 by Andrei Mikhalenko was about recreating a strong image he carried in his mind for some time. It was a personal project in which he bonded the winter harvested field concept with a house he designed later on to fit. This work focused heavily on creating the environment using GrowFx and Forest Pack. Besides these, Andrei also used 3dsmax and V-Ray to create the final images. David Santos is no stranger to the blog, with a very popular article already posted before – The Making of Lake Lugano House. Today he is sharing the process behind making the Sarmiento Museum project in his studio. To recreate this National Historic Monument in the northern suburb of Buenos Aires, Argentina, David and his team used SketchUp, V-Ray for SketchUp and the new Skatter Plugin for SketchUp for scattering all the vegetation in the scene. Making of Private Residence

Phil Buerer is not stranger here, with two best of week awards (BOW 22/2014 and BOW 33/2014) and two articles published as well! Today I’m very happy to publish his third article about the making-of Villa Lanaras. He recreates an already built project, as he usually likes to do from photos. Just a single photo this time. This house was designed by architect Nicos Valsamakis at Anavyssos back in 1963. Cinema 4d, V-Ray for Cinema 4d and Photoshop are the main tools used in this project. Enjoy!
