I first interviewed Trond Greve Andersen & Mats Andersen, co-founders of Norway based architectural visualization studio MIR, back in March 2011 and had the pleasure to chat with them both following their presentation at SOA’s #AcademyDay5 in Venice last week.
The interview with MIR I published almost a month ago, followed by great feedback from the community, has driven me to keep exploring the studios I consider interesting and inspirational. LUXIGON is one of these studios, featuring clients such REX, MVRDV, OMA, BIG, Oppenheim, Mecanoo, asymptote, and more in their portfolio. I enjoyed this interview very much, and fell in love with their sense of humor and passion for what they do as Im sure you will too Ill just have to keep doing these. ITS GREAT!
I’m always looking for sources of inspiration as reference for my visualization work. I’m searching for it in traditional art, architectural photography, movies and obviously in architectural visualization done by others. Norway based studio MIR has become a regular inspiration station for me. They have a unique style and manage to produce some of the most emotional visualization I have seen to date. I wanted to take my interest in their work one step further so I contacted them and started a conversation that turned into this interview. I hope youll enjoy it as much as I did.
