    Hello Ashley

_The first thing I notice about your image is the floor material, it looks too much pixelated and maybe out of scale. Take care of the bump amount too
_Also there is not coincidence between the interior vertical lines and the exterior ones (background city). In interior views like this I think is better to apply a simple vertical correction to the camera, in max via "correction camera modifier" or simply having the camera and the target with the same heigth
_The room looks a little bit empty now. I suppose you are going to put some furniture, try to choose very carefully the colors of all your elements, that will really help to improve the overall image
_The camera position always help to manage the scale and proportions of the space you are representing. May be you can visit these great references from Ronen`s site

Maybe you can share with us some information about your render engine and scene setup in order to give you some tips about your lights. Are you using IES lights?

    Thanks for the feedback.

I am using mental ray with GI and final gathering on. I have added day light and the wall lights are photometric spotlights. Mr photographic for my exposure control and I brought the exposure value down to help brighten the scene. I put the fg bounces at 5. I will be adding more furniture I just wanted to post what I have gotten done so far. I don't understand your second post ..are you saying to turn the floor 90 degrees so it will positioned another way?

    Hello Ashley

I`m afraid I can`t help you about your lighting setup `cause I`m not a mental ray user, sorry

I presume you are using a background image, and maybe that`s why you have those non parallel lines. Again, a simple camera correction will fix that issue

    hope it can help!

You are saying the environment image is slanted and needs to be parallel with the room?
