Default Composition POV's for My New Bedroom

    Hello,

I have been designing this bedroom and I thought it would be great opportunity to take ideas from forum members as this is a place full of people with creative ideas and great talent. I would like to thank Ronen again for this wonderful forum.

Here are my WIP images. My PC is slow so please forgive the render quality. My main target is to get feedback about composition and POV's so I hope low render quality will not be a big issue.

    Lamp Shot:
I have few different crops for this image I think first one is my favorite but need your opinions and crits.
Another thing is that I can't decide position of the lamp; actually I like the cyan color there, and feel it adds to the design and the composition but I am not sure if it complicates the shot.

    Closet Shot:
This is another view. I like this one with curtain, though I like the lamp shot with blinds What do you think?

really nice tests! I like the combination of materials you got there, cyan works very well with the wood colour. In the first view i prefer the third, but still feel a bit like ducking so i don't hit my head on the lamp in the foreground, maybe move it up slightly?

Your curtains are excellent, but I also like how the blinds work with the storage so I'd go with that. Maybe angle the blinds slightly more open for this shot?

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you like the materials. I really have fun designing this room, choosing colors and furniture. I am trying to go for a minimalist design with natural materials.

Peter: I will try that shot with blinds more open. I agree about the position of lamp. I need to put higher. But when I put higher, some of it gets blocked by the foreground lamp. This is a problem.
And the 3rd image is definitely having the more simplicity and clearness. But I just somehow feel unsure
I modeled the curtains with Maxcloth.

Annkos: I am really glad to hear your comments about design.

Hope to finish this scene soon !

sorry, I meant raise the foreground lamp up. Maybe you only need to see the far edge of it?

Great looking renders... even if just tests currently!

I like your wood materials very much, the floor in particular - it picks up the highlights really well and realistic.

I prefer the cloth curtain version, it brings more softness and calm to the space i think... though the cloth seems too transparent I think (even if this is exactly what you aimed for, I feel in realty a less transparent cloth will be better. and allow for that nice scatter / glow with direct light behind it)

Looking forward for the updates, and perhaps more view angles?

Bakbek: Thanks for the feedback I think I will have the curtains for the closet shot. I will make them less transparent as you say. And for the lamp shot, I will keep blinds. It could be nice to have both of them as a test for the design too.

Floor has different reflection values for each frame. Actually I was thinking of making an animation at the end but I couldn't keep myself from adjusting the reflection values according to the shot.

I have more shots. I will post more as I render more.

Peter: Now here is a update (uncropped) that you advised. But I think I can't get the same. I panned the camera to get this. How can I make it like your POV?

not sure ;-) maybe just move the camera (not the camera target) down slightly and slightly closer to the foreground lamp?

I have been making many tests (my tests are by LC+LC with very low quality so I hesitated to send here) No matter what I try, moving camera and/or up, and down, even moving lamp up and down, I can't achieve such effect. The angle how we view the lamp surfaces change and lamp starts to losse definition.
Closest I can get is by moving lamp away from camera but then the dimensions of lamp get smaller...
