I was wondering, is it possible to convert the fur you made to mesh and then make a proxy? It looks awesome!
Yes you can make Max's Hair & fur mesh and then proxy

Artmak: I already tried that but after creating the geometry and making it into a vrayproxy, my pc crashed. I am not expert on render theory but I think the created vrayproxy becomes a very very huge file and it looses advantages of proxy. I am not sure though. We must ask Vlado

    Peter: Thank you very much.
Sure. Which materials would you like to know?
These are mostly materials created by merging 2-3 textures together and painting on them. I downloaded most of the textures from cgtextures. I always have hard time with reflections and glossiness. Because it really takes too long time to make many tests until I can reach what I really want. But I heard that VrayRT is very helpful in this.
Most are standard UVMapping. I have used unwrapping only the chair with the fur.I used spline unwrapping on the top part.

Thats great that it can be converted to mesh, thats all I needed to know, because I had some trouble with fur/hair when using vray as renderer.

I saw a topic about this on Vray Help site. But I guess it is related with Max2010. I am still on 2009. I didn't have any problems during rendering except my RAM
