    Default Envision?

My co-worker asked me today if I knew what software was used to make those renderings:

"Envision Program" Virtually Renovates Properties - NY1.com

    http://www.gothamphotocompany.com/In...ite/index.html

And why do they charge so cheap? $150 per room?
By they way, they are located in New York, so its seriously cheap... I am trying to figure out how can they afford to do business with such low prices, while providing renderings for million dollar lofts.

It looks like those are combinations of photography and 3d, what do you think?

Looks like it is Photo Retouching + 3D elements. Not sure how much rendering is going on here...

Mind you - They may operate in NY but the workers might be in Chine or Vietnam or Near by these two, where fees are super low.

Makes you think about our business and where it is headed right?

Why on earth would they price it so low even if it costs them so low to make is something that I can't even grasp!!! It will call for high volume of orders, and this can't be sustainable for the long run and would only hurt them eventually.

Pricing should be derived from the value in money generated for the clients - simple as that!

It’s interesting what you say about where the business is heading, with companies out sourcing to the Far East, where rates are considerably cheaper.

At my company, I'm running two jobs in which we are using out sourced visualsers from China. The main problems are translation, not only of language, but also translation of design elements, interpretation, aesthetics, artistic direction etc. I've struggled to resolve a lot of issues, because it’s materialised that they simply cannot understand and interpret basic design directions.

To cut a long story short, and also not wanting to hijack this thread - I think there’s a lot of quantity coming out of these places, but I’m not sure of the quality. As will all know, quality will stand the test of time and people will always be prepared to pay that little bit more for not only the end product, but for the service and process as well.

I think our boss will be sticking a little closer to home, next time we need to outsource for images.
