    Ideas and Ramblings

Just downloading the model file today. I'll be working in Sketchup and of course Lumion. I'm going to try to limit or eliminate any use of Photoshop for post work. I'll use it for material/texture creation though.

    Ideas:
Motorcycle show (showcase of Ducati motorcycles and history of stuff)
Lumion show (Lumion product showcase or grand event...featuring Lumion work...interactive kiosks....etc. and of course TONS of people).
Watercolor painting show (featuring my own work!)

Just some thoughts....this is my first time in a competition like this so I hope I don't mess up.

Best of luck to all participants!

So....downloaded the SU version of the model and started working last night. Jump in tonight to do a little more work with the surrounding site and realize that this building seems large. Forgive me....but this building is huge! I've never been to the actual building so the Google Earth street view images and the images posted in the download area on the forum have been tremendous help...cheaper than a plane ticket from the US. Thank you internet. I dropped a figure into the interior of the space to give me a better feel for the scale I'm going to deal with here....wow....got a lot of space to fill...or not fill....maybe a minimalist show of some kind? LOL....maybe just a piece of white paper lit up in the middle of the room. Here is an image of where I'm at so far...which is pretty much just starting. This is going to be a fun one!

Everything up to this point has been done inside Lumion...well except of course for modeling in Sketchup. All lighting, camera motion, effects, etc. rendered in Lumion and exported as a movie right from Lumion....no post work on the video or any mumbo jumbo like that. Lumion purist... Only thing I'd like to be able to add to videos inside Lumion is an audio track! Can't do that at the moment but they are always working on this program and developing it further. Maybe someday they will add that function! I'll try to get some more progress animations uploaded this weekend.
