Default splotchy render with deadline today

I had this scene rendering fine at smaller test resolution. Now that I'm rendering it at final size I'm getting splotches only in one area.

I've got to have this done asap today and I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out the issue. Any help would be most appreciated.

You should try to raise the Hsph. Subdivs and/or the interpolation samples.

If you're using DMC then you're sampling is unified and therefore your GI is effected as well. That means GI that worked fine at low res will show blotches at high res. Lowering your Noise Threshold under the "DMC Sampler" rack of the "Settings" tab in the Render dialogue. BTW just increasing the "quality" of your light cache will not help much unless you lower the noise threshold. Also dropping the "Adaptive amount" may help depending on your setup. With unified sampling it's bit of a guessing game. Here's a great breakdown of what's going on.
