Very original approach. I like the non-photographic treatment too.

Keeping in the Boulder theme, Best Landscape Photos, Beautiful Landscape Photos, Landscape Pictures, Stock Photos, Landscape Images the main photo, the lower flatiron, could be a natural setting for your structure??

Hey BB3, Dellis, & Mhyst. Thanks for the warm comments. Constructive crits are welcome too Always looking to see how this can be improved... Anything jump out at you guys as off?

Rod, thanks for the images... ah... Flat Irons... How I miss you

Still trying to decide if I want to steer away from the 'al natural' approach many others are taking. However If I do decide to keep my background natural, I'll maybe incorporate some of those images..

Here's an update with a concept I'm working on. I think it still needs more refinement, but I'd like to incorporate some billowing cloth or tension fabric to give the sense we're hovering through some pretty high altitude..

*Plus it gives me an excuse to play with cloth/wind simulations, which I've never done much of

sure is taking on the flavor of an observation area for an olympic ski jump venue.

Looks good. Kind of like the idea of not making this site specific. I'd suggest maybe just add some abstract elements on the left side to balance it out and hint at a possible location.

Love this last image - has a nice dreamy quality.

The rippling wooden folds remind me of this project:

Very cool project. Liking the concept of how the stairs become walls and such. Thanks for sharing.

    Title: Things that Hover

    1. People shredding the gnar
    2. Clouds
    3. Sweet Jets
    4. apparently, this building and that platform over there.
    5. fabric in a stiff breeze
    6. Spirits when looking to vistas beyond
    7. The boundary between creating photorealistic vs. stylized imagery from a computer... this obviously being more towards the latter of the two.

This has been a fun competiton and I wish I could have spent more time honing this one in, but alas, the deadline has arrived and this is my submission.

I hope to tune more in the future.

Best of luck to all the entrants!
