The following images try to show the way i'm trying to go. Building "hover" water...
A dense lakedwelling setting, working on different planes, with a contemporary approach to the theme.

Here is a quick sketch of what I have in mind... Still trying to figure the way to go in the approach to the theme.

quick test to evaluate the "hovering" ability of the association of blocks.

    Could be...

But what i had in mind was shallow water, maybe one tilted and abandoned boat. I was wondering if I could follow a abandoned "village" theme.

Another test image... should draw more "damage" in the "hovering" buildings.

This is a very good concept, franciscok. I never imagined someone would pick up informal settlements. Really interesting and stands out from the rest.

Don't know if abandoned is a good way to go. By hovering all the houses you get a kind of a "second" village below that might be the focus of traffic & floating markets.

HUmmm... you're right but as an architect who is always creating tridimensional images that are always clean and neat I was thinking to take advantage of this competition to make something diferent. An "abandoned" scene is what I was now aiming to achieve inspired in the "mood" reflected in the image below (I know theres no hovering in the example!). A prosperous "hovering" village now abandoned.
Is this proposal wondering off the objective?

PS: The reference image is from a registered user in the evermotion forums named "bakho", you can see the post here:

No it doesn't :-) You can go either way... I did not suggest it to be clean though. I was thinking about something like the floating market in bangkok.

The bottom part can be very much dirty and grunge with all the water marks and stuff - but upper side can be nice and clean.

But this is your entry... and the reference you show looks like something great to aim for too.

    This weekend had two ideas...
I would like that the resulting images could be able to tell a story. So i came up with two different scenarios: the first one could be in the near future after a "luxurious" village "hovering" the sea had become abandoned due to environmental catastrophy. In the second case the global warming has caused the water level to rise and flood completely a city near the shore and lead to building "hover" water.
Two (very) quick sketches to sort ideas out...
