well, as you may notice I've modified a few things <g>. On my Sunday motorcycle ride I re-visited one of my favorite routes. Unaweep for anyone interested in a fine ride along the Delores River. It dawned on me that in much of the area to even get a structure built you'd need to use a hover. ergo, this image as a start to attempt to capture the mood of a cloudless 105F day with the CD playing Dark Side of the Moon. I forgot my camera, my bad, but friends at rockies-gold.net had one I am using as a reference.

Wow! No words. Your building is amazing... and what can I say of the surroundings!
Nice job. I look forward to your updates

Thanks for your kind comments. Good idea adding some color to the water area. I am working on the front right now. I've tried to keep the parking area hidden from water view.
I am in fact using xStream 7.4 as integrated with max. 2009. One of my first with the combo. I've always been more of a vray guy so this has been a real learning experience for me with mental ray and Vue.

Well, I like the design & visual - but also very much interested in the tech side of it all since using xStream is something I wanted to do for a long time but it never really worked for me...

If your problems were lighting based, as mine were, here is a really good tutorial on the lighting. I MAKE U - Vue Tutorial Also, doing the scale calibration is vital. I'm not well versed with the integration, but a couple of folks at 3DAllusions have a good working knowledge and I'm sure they'd offer a solution if you have specific questions that I can't handle....

i don't know why but something seems off, it's looks as if the building scale is smaller than the surroundings...
maybe it's just me?
i think it's got something to do with the guy in the boat and the bottom left shrub.
