Default Can we cleanup the GH House model mesh?

Is cleaning up the mesh within the rules? I work best with quads than tri's. If not, thats ok. Im using modo on a mac, so think i will have to go from .skp to .dae to an .obj file.

    thanks

I'll wait for the official response but I'd like to tack on a couple related things.

    1. I presume along with environment on the exterior we can also spice up the interior with various furniture, wall art, etc. so long as we're not swapping the living room and the kitchen for example?

    2. Not really a question but I've noticed a couple hidden objects (View -> Hidden Geometry). There's a large hidden plane in front of the building that looks like it can simply be deleted. There's also, however, a hidden exhaust vent in the kitchen which I presume should be turned on (Right Click -> Unhide). Perhaps the original model should be updated?

Sure, if you need some cleanup then it's OK...

I'm also very curious- is this allowed? I'd love to add some furniture I've modeled into the scene, and it would allow for the final entries to be more varied.

It is allowed and I've updated the rules to accommodated this.

Yes you can delete that plane, And yes you may turn on the exhaust if want too... the interior in the model is optional and you can do what you like.

You may even swap the kitchen with the living room area if you think it is best... you don't have to stick with the current interior layout - this is mentioned in the Challenge House Thread.

Can I turn off the handrails? ...replace them with different ones? Both the glass and the wood one on the stairs. They are not very detailed.

Yes, this is something you can do.

    Default Geometry Errors in Pool

From what I understand from the above threads I can remove the glass border surrounding the pool and swap out hand rail and what not but what about correcting Geometry within the pool itself I have attached a screen shot of what I'm referring to. Not sure it its my system that's screwing up or it it was a Sketch Up conversion error.

I'll wait for your response before I correct the geometry, just wanna make sure I'm breaking rules. (I'm here for the win after all; Might as well be thorough)

Not supposed to be problems with the mesh but you can do whatever you like with the pool and site... it's the house that needs to remain as it is other then what is specifically allowed in the rules.

So you are in the clear. Good Luck!
