What exactly is judged in the end?
1. Granted that the WIP images are posted, what role do they play in the final judgement? Is the final evaluation based only on the 2 final images or will the judges also be looking at the WIP images to make their decision? (so perhaps the person with the best final image could end up placing below someone with great WIP images?)
2. Their are 2 and only 2 final images right? I wasn't clear if the 1 exterior and 1 interior was a minimum or if that's all and only what will be accepted.

The decision is made based on the final submitted images only, though the WIP images may help in understanding the work being done better.
The main purpose of this Challenge being a WIP style is so that we all can learn and benefit from the process, and making much more interesting. Participation by offering feedback to other is also very important and we will consider that too when weighing in all the factors for the final judgment.
About the two images, now that you mentioned it - I agree about it being a minimum of 2 images (1 exterior + 1 interior) other then that, after you indicate what are the first two, you may submit more images of your choosing...
If someone else thinks this might be a problem please let me know and why
I will post an more detailed explanation about the judging factors that will be taken into account later on, so thanks for bringing this up.

Thanks for the response. I'm very excited about the WIP style. I'm very eager to learn other folks workflows. I'm also glad that it doesn't sound like the WIP images are a huge factor in the judging. I just don't want to get all nervous when I'm drawing up concept sketches thinking that it could make or break how well I do.
I'm conflicted about the extra images. At this stage I'm very eager to be forced to really focus on just the 2 images and making them absolutely perfect. I'm afraid that the desire to make 15 great images may creep in and I'll be less focused on a specific view. Of course, that's why they call it a challenge, no? On the other hand I might later realize that the cost/benefit of doing some extra images is worthwhile.

Ah damn, I was under the impression that they were 2 images and 2 images only. That slightly changes things but I'm still going where I wanted to go in the first place.

this isn't clear.
as i understand it...
the minimum submission is 2 images 1 interior and 1 exterior. additional images can be entered but are will not be judged. if more than 2 images are submitted you must indicate which 2 of your images you wish to be judged.

That is correct. Not all can come up with more then two images so only those two you select (your best shots as you decide...) will be judged.
But the challenge really benefits from the extra images and so all of you. Just see for example (to name a few) Amer's, Bertrand's and Ivo's WIP's - I learn so much myself from them, as I'm sure you do... that alone is worth this Challenge!
I hope each participant will find the time to push his own limits and share his findings and workflow here for all to learn and benefit from it.
I'm planning to showcase many images too as soon as i get around to it, and i hope Peter will too, if he finds the time, so we can contribute our part to this challenge as well.
