Indigo does seem to take it's time rendering seeing what Jeff had to deal with his scene!
Yeah Indigo takes its sweet time... Though you can be completely sure that you'll end up with an accurate image. Part of it is laziness (not taking the time to tweak Vray settings to optimize them for speed and quality) but the biggest part of it is the Blender/rendering engine interface (the scripts) and the material options and such.

Ok. Final stuff.
Exterior cooked for 64 hours, got to 554 samples/pixel. Interior cooked for 30 hours or so and I forget the sample level. There's definitely room for improvement in the render speed department.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention this when I uploaded the finals: I used Makehuman for the figure in the interior shot. Couldn't justify spending more than 2 minutes on putting that in, not with the deadline so close. Posed it in Blender.
Color is different across my screens (desktop to laptop) so I hope it's relatively accurate for most viewers. Post-processing just included brightening things and darkening things, mostly brightening, and barely color toning various parts. Wish I could have carried it through to a decent end.
It is what it is.

love these images tom, very computer game art style, Would have been so cool if there was something in that water outside.. like a monster or something underneath or a dark figure in there... - very imaginative work!

Thanks a lot, guys! I wanted to get away from the typical style of arch. viz and try something new.

These renders are amazing! They look like combinations of paintings and concept art! Very interesting!
With your WIP, you had actually gave us ride into the landscapes of your imagination.
Great work mate!

Thanks for all the encouraging comments! Really helped me push this project forward.
I don't think I'll be adding to this until I get a faster machine. There is simply no opportunity to leave my quad core occupied for 60 hours + on a non-work project. Bills need to be paid! Hopefully I'll be getting some new gear soon, so this will be due for a revamp! I've already got ideas about how to completely change it...
