Default Do you read 3D Magazines?

    Hey All...

Do you read any 3D Magazines on a regular basis? Been thinking about that lately. I personaly purchase 3D World copies when they feature Archviz related content...

Would appreciate to know if you do and what

    Thanks

    Default Magazines

Hi Ronen, well i must say that i am one of those 3d addicts that occasionally need some boost, but also an info about our 3d industry. I buy 3DWorld magazine on regular basis like yourself, especially when some good models or archvis related stuff is included, and occasionally i buy 3DCreative magazine on similar basis..

I consider that nice investment from time to time, with fact that you have paper copy instead usual digital one..

    Cheers

    Ivo

I've got a subscription to 3d world. I find the cd's typically have enough good stuff to make it worth it. Even when there's not much in the way of Arch Viz (which seems to be pretty often imo), I sometimes learn some things here and there that may not BE arch-viz but can apply, like UV mapping.

I'd love to see a magazine more specific to arch-viz. Pretty much every cover of every 3d world I have showcases the latest and greatest CG movie (avatar, district 9, 9 (the animation film), Twighlight, etc.).

I would definatly pick up a copy of 3d world if it is Arch Viz related. I find architecture magazines and books are the best source of inspiration and also anything photography related. I feel Architectural Visualisation is more photography and light related these days.

Architectural Visualisation is to Photography as Song writing is to music.

    Wow. way to deep...

Well... I got an initial confirmation that a spot about the Challenge will be published in 3D World Magazine after we pick the winners (April Issue probably), so your work, and archviz in general, will get much more exposure this way too!

I hope to get some info in it other then just the news about who won and their images... a little making of could be nice too - will have to see about that. Please have that in mind and do your best to document your work so we can respond quickly after the challenge is over and setup all the material needed for the publication.

I'm also working on the Challenge Book Idea were all the challengers will be showcased... if you have any thoughts about it, please let me know.

Wow, that's pretty amazing Ronen! You've done a really good job with this challenge thus far between coming up with a very cool concept (WIP), getting all sorts of great prizes for the winners, and now some added exposure in a very cool magazine! I hope you host many more of these competitions in the future.

    Great idea Ronen.

I realise I'm too late here, but I was wondering if you should perhaps also approach the architecture/interior design magazine of your choice. I'm thinking MARK, AIT, FRAME, etc.

I do have a 3DWorld subscription and I occasionally pick up a copy of the (much inferior) closest German equivalent, but I find myself looking at arch mags a lot more most of the time. Also, in terms of exposure for the eventual winners, as well as for you and Peter, it might make more sense to target potential clients rather than competitors in a medium that carries little 3D stuff.

    Just a thought.

I can't a place around here that sells 3D World, they used to but I was probably the only one buying them so they got rid of it!
