    Default Villa PM

This project started out as a simple model created to accompany a tutorial I wrote about creating seamless textures and materials for Thea Render. The model proved popular and after seeing lots of really good renders I decided that I should create some of my own for my portfolio.

The house design (Villa PM) is by the Sicilian studio Architrend Architecture and my basic model (I added a lot of detail for these renders) can be downloaded from the Google 3D Warehouse.

I did most of the modelling using Sketchup and the vegetation is courtesy of Xfrog and CGAxis. All the renders were created using Thea Render and post production was done using Photoshop.

I still think that there is a lot of room for improvement, so some constructive criticism would be much appreciated.

Full size renders can be viewed here:

Thanks Sandros! I figured it was about time I started sharing my work outside the Thea community.

Can you show us the clean raw renders prior to postwork?

    Prvn,

The glass is based on the standard Thin Glass that comes with Thea. All I added was a slight tint and a subtle bump map for imperfections in the surface and reflections.

    Bakbek,

I'll sort out the raw renders for you tomorrow.

    Ronen,

As requested, here are the raw Thea renders without any external tone mapping or adjustments.
