Default Chicago Loft (comes to life)

Some time ago, I released an empty architectural scene following lots of requests by friends. It featured an existing converted loft in Chicago. At the time, I promised to show some images about how the loft scene could be used to showcase furniture models or test furnishing schemes.

So here they are. They feature a wild mix of older and more recent furniture pieces, some of them done specifically for this scene, with the only lose link between them being a general mid-century feel (though some of the pieces are actually recent designs).

Hope you like them. You can see the full set of images here.

PS: The image with the Flag Halyard chair was done to test Vray’s new hair shader. I love it!

Say Bertrand... have you ever thought of making an animation of your scenes. I seem to remember you did do I test - I think it was inside the Bauhaus school model?

    Just wondering out loud

Giona, it is a chair by Marcel Breuer, which is being distributed by Thonet Germany (Home*THONET-Mbel - Sthle, Tische, Sessel und Sofas, Design-Klassiker aus Bugholz und Stahlrohr).

Ronen: I did animate the Monza Loft. It was so painful I haven't considered doing it again, at least not on my single-comp rig. Animating this without a render farm would take a few years of rendering and an awful lot of optimisation.
